Mr. Paul Theys graduated from the University of Leuven with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He joined Exxon Chemical as a process engineer in 1980 in Belgium. Currently, Theys is the President of Exxon Al Khalij Inc. in Abu Dhabi, with an oversight for all of ExxonMobil’s upstream, downstream and chemicals operations and joint venture projects in the United Arab Emirates.Read More »

Ms. Shirine Solh was born in Greece and grew up throughout Europe and the Middle East. She received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and History from Brown University (Rhode Island, USA) and her Master of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University (New York, USA). She joined ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical in Belgium as a Public Affairs Analyst for the Downstream and Chemical businesses in 2000.Read More »

Most of his career has been spent in the Middle East and he has a good understanding of the region and its particular ways of doing business.
